PBB Otso housemate Wakim opens up about his condition.
PBB OTSO – The Pinoy Big Brother Otso newly-evicted housemate Wakim Regalado opened up about his ADHD in Magandang Buhay interview.
One of the housemates inside the Pinoy Big Brother Otso house is Wakim Regalado from Iloilo who caught numerous attention because of his impressive intelligence and scientific-based moves and tactics in doing their tasks.
However, on his 48th day in the reality show, he has been evicted from the house for getting the 2nd lowest of votes for that particular night was double eviction. He was kicked out of the house along with the transgender mom Mitch Talao.
Right after the eviction, Wakim was then scheduled to be a guest in Magandang Buhay. And in there, together with his mother, they have opened up about his condition of having ADHD or Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
His Mommy Nellie explained the condition to the audience and host, “Yung kay Wakim, we noticed na he was always getting sick at that time, so akala namin there was something wrong lang kasi nag-a-act up, minsan nagta-trantums, minsan ay hyper-active.”
In as early as three years old, they have already noticed Wakim being hyperactive and upon turning 6 years old, that’s when they have confirmed his condition. Due to lack of specialist in their place, she studied the condition of her child.
His condition, in a much brighter perspective, has motivated Wakim to do better academically. He said, “That’s what kind of pushed me din to do well academically. Kasi that was the time when mom also told me about my IQ, and so I had the potential to do well in school because I was intelligent. But because of my ADHD, it was a big hurdle, that’s what made me work harder din.”
