Video Sharing Website YouTube Breaks Silence & Finally Speaks On Controversial “Momo Challenge”
The popular video sharing company YouTube finally released an official statement regarding the viral mobile game called “Momo Challenge”.
Over the past few days, “Momo Challenge” has been one of the most controversial topics online after it was linked to increasing cases of suicide among teenagers.
The mobile application was blamed over the death of some young teenagers playing the alleged suicidal game.
The controversial game gives different tasks to the users who need to perform it in 50 days but could harm the life of the players.
Recently, YouTube has already released an official statement regarding the issue and explained that harmful content is prohibited on their site.
“YouTube’s Community Guidelines prohibit content that’s intended to encourage dangerous activities that have an inherent risk of physical harm or death. We remove flagged videos that violate our policies,” the video company said.
The video sharing website also give some useful tips for the parents in guiding their child of using social media.
Strategic Works, Inc. Senior PR Manager Ailene Dela Rosa said that parents could restrict their children in using YouTube kids through enabling the ‘Parent Approved Mode’ or switching off the search mode.
