This is the alarming of Momo Challenge to the kids
A mom was able to capture on video the alarming effect of the viral Momo Challenge to her two kids.
Currently, the fictional character “Momo” has affected many children who view the video-sharing site, YouTube.
Based on the post of Caiarama Ashby, a mom of a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, this challenge has been popping on YouTube videos. According to Ashby, her son knew about it “through a bunch of school friends hanging out at lunchtime watching Fortnight YouTube videos on his friend’s phone”.
Apparently, it was like a TV advertisement that told his son and his friends, “If they stop watching, Momo will kill your parents tonight”.
Ashby, then, shared her reason why she recorded the video. “I recorded this video as PROOF that whatever this phase is, this Momo character or fictional person is and the REAL effects it has on OUR CHILDREN! It breaks my heart knowing my kids witnessed something so horrible,” the concerned mother said.
She also encouraged other moms to sit down with their children and talk about this alarming issue on social media.
“NO CHILD SHOULD EVER FEEL THE NEED TO PROTECT US WHEN WE SHOULD BE THE ONES MAKING THEM FEEL SAFE, LOVED AND PROTECTED AT ALL TIMES 24/7!” Ashby said.
She also included screenshot photos about the scary Momo Challenge.
It appears, this challenge pops up on kids videos such as Fortnite and Peppa Pig and Minecraft.
Based on a previous report, YouTube released this statement:
“YouTube’s Community Guidelines prohibit content that’s intended to encourage dangerous activities that have an inherent risk of physical harm or death. We remove flagged videos that violate our policies.”
