NPA Allegedly Attacks Hydro Power Plant Site in Oriental Mindoro
NPA – Communist rebels New People’s Army (NPA) allegedly attacked the hydro power plant site in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.
In 2017, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte officially labeled the rebel NPA as a terrorist organization.
This organization extorts money from the Filipino people and mostly from businesses.
Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Lieutenant Colonel Ramon Zagala stated that these communist lost their concept and now engaged in extortion.
These terrorist were all over the country and most of them are in the mountainous parts in the province. They hide and attack whenever they spotted some people or establishment to distract.
Following a previous article, the communist rebels allegedly burned heavy equipment that was used for mining in Negros Oriental.
People from Ayungon, Negros Oriental accused the NPA of burning the heavy equipment while the netizens concluded that the rebels destroyed it because it damages the environment.
Same incident that happened recently at the Naujan, Oriental Mindoro. The communist rebels allegedly burned down the warehouse, offices and heavy equipment of their project site.
Manila Bulletin uploaded several photos of the burning hydropower plant owned by the Sta. Clara International Corporation.
It can be seen on the photos that there was a huge dark smoke coming from the project site.
Surely, the hydropower plant project site of the of the Sta. Clara Int’l Corp. equipment were all destroyed on the attack of the communist rebels.
Meanwhile, a netizen behind @vlcuaycong commented on the post that the company forgot to pay tax to the rebel that is why they burned it.

We can all hope that the conflict of the Philippine government and the communist rebels will be settled so that all Filipinos could live peacefully.
