Election 2019 — Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar received criticisms for campaigning for administration’s senatorial candidate Bong Go.

Go, the former Special Assistant to the President, resigned to seek the position of Senator for this year’s midterm election.

Last February 20, the Twitter account of GMA News shared a photo of Andanar during a campaign in San Juan.

The post has this caption: “Palace Communications Chief Martin Andanar represents former Special Asst to the President Bong Go here in San Juan campaign rally.”

Based on the Article IX (B) Section 2, Paragraph 4 of the 1987 Constitution, “No officer or employee in the civil service shall engage, directly or indirectly, in any electioneering or partisan political campaign.”

Previously, Bong Go also received criticisms for his posters which were spotted in front of the Paranaque City Hall.

The former SAF’s oversize poster also received scrutiny from several netizens.
