Jobless SSS Member May Claim 10K Monthly Under New Law
SSS MEMBER – A member of the Social Security System who lost his or her job may reportedly claim Php 10,000.00 monthly under the Social Security Act of 2019.

The said law concerns the members of the Social Security System. Most people who are employed in private establishments and companies are members of the state-run insurance program.
Based on a recent social media post of Radyo Bandera, one of the benefits sought by the said law is for the members of the state-run insurance program who lost their job.
According to the post, an SSS member who lost his or her job may claim Php 10,000.00 per month for two(2) months as an assistance extended to the unemployed.
Sen. Gordon reportedly expressed that the unemployment assistance of Php 10,000.00 monthly is open to those who are paying the “maximum salary credit”.
A member may apply for the said assistance and use the money while seeking a new job.
Based on the post, Section 14-B of Republic Act 11199 states that a member who lost his or her job may claim an unemployment benefit that is worth 50% of his or her average monthly salary credit in two(2) months.
Furthermore, a member should not reportedly exceed 60 years of age and must have paid at least 36 SSS monthly contributions. Here is the full post:
