Joey De Leon Shares Throwback Photo During ABS-CBN Days on Social Media
JOEY DE LEON – Tv host Joey De Leon shared a throwback photo during his ABS-CBN days on social media.
Spanish-Filipino comedian, actor and tv host Joey de Leon is part of the famous comedy trio Tito, Vic, and Joey.
The three of them has made several television shows and comedy movies that were admired by lots of their Filipino fans.
In 1960s, Joey de Leon started his career as a disc jockey and announcer for twelve radio stations including the 7 radio stations owned by the ABS-CBN network.
The comedian’s first break on the television was from the gag show “OK Lang” with Vic Sotto and Tito Sotto at the Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) 13 tv network.
Joey de Leon transferred to the GMA-7 network and became one of the co-host of the afternoon variety show “Discodrama” in 1975.
The comedian invited his friends Tito and Vic to join him on the tv show, eventually, the brothers accepted his invitation.
After several years, Tito, Vic, and Joey were given a project to host the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga which is the longest running tv show in the Philippines now.
Meanwhile, Joey de Leon took a stroll down memory lane by sharing a throwback photo during his ABS-CBN days.
The comedian shared the photo of his younger self on his Instagram account wearing a cap with the ABS-CBN logo on it.
In the caption of the post, he wrote: “DOS were the days! Napansin nyo ba logo sa cap ko? 1968 pa ‘yan!”
