Illegally Cut Down Lauan Trees Captured by Richard Gomez, LGU, PNP in Ormoc City
RICHARD GOMEZ – Ormoc PNP and LGU’s headed by Richard Gomez seized the illegally cut down Lauan trees in the city’s mountainous villages.
Politician and actor Richard Gomes currently serve as the Mayor of Ormoc City. He won the general elections last 2016.

As part of Richard Gomez’ duty as the mayor in Ormoc City, he was hands-on with the projects on his community.
In a report, the mayor lambasted the National Housing Authority officials over the low-quality housing materials in a certain project on his city.
Richard stated that there should be quality control and supplies must be checked considering they are provided with enough budget.
Meanwhile, Manila Bulletin just uploaded photos of the illegal logging in Ormoc City on Twitter. In the caption of the post, it says 6,000 board foot of illegally cut down Lauan trees were caught by the Police officers and LGU’s headed by Richard Gomez.
The location of the illegal logging was at the border of the mountainous village of Quezon and Gaas.
It can be seen that the illegal loggers just cut down a Lauan tree and the vicinity is now swarming with Richard Gomez’ team and the Ormoc police officers.
A netizen behind the name @SidRanter commented on the post stating that illegal logging has been very rampant on that location.
