Wilfredo Keng Releases Official Statement on Maria Ressa’s Arrest
The businessman Wilfredo Keng has released an official statement regarding the controversial arrest of Rappler CEO Maria Ressa.
Maria Ressa, the CEO of the local news outlet Rappler has been one of the most controversial topics online after she arrested on Wednesday afternoon (February 14, 2019).
The Rappler CEO has been arrested by the officers from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) over cyber libel charge filed by justice department.
The cyber libel case filed against Rappler rooted from a complaint by the businessman Wilfredo Keng in 2017.
Wilfredo Keng filed a complaint against the media company over an alleged libelous article about him.
The article was stating that the businessman allegedly loaned a vehicle
Keng also said that media company CEO never tried to get his side or fact-check their statement against him.
