House Panel Suggests Filing of Charges Vs. Former Pres. Aquino Over Dengvaxia Issue

AQUINO – Former Philippine President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III may face charges over the controversial Dengvaxia issue.

The issue surrounding the administration of the Dengvaxia vaccine during the term of the former President to a lot of Filipinos has yet to come to an end. Currently, hearings and investigations regarding it are still ongoing.

Recently, the House Committee on Good Government and House Committee on Health tackled the issue and voted.

Based on a recent social media post on the Facebook page of Manila Bulletin, with 14-4 voting, the House panels suggest the filing of charges against former Pres. Aquino.

According to the social media post, not only the former President may face charges but as well as former Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Butch Abad.

Furthermore, Health Secretary Janette Garin and other officials of the Department of Health (DOH) may also face charges.

As of this writing, there are still no further details regarding the session of the panel.
