P6.8 Million Worth of Suspected Drugs Caught during Buy-Bust in Cebu
DRUGS – Suspected drugs worth P6.8 million were caught by the authorities during a buy-bust operation in Cebu.
The campaign against illegal substances that destroy the lives of many people continues. Under the Duterte Administration, it is strengthened being one of the campaign promises of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Several buy-bust operations are conducted nationwide. Since July 2016, lots of people were arrested by the authorities because of it. The suspects include both private and prominent individuals in the country.
Recently, a buy-bust operation was conducted by the authorities in Barangay Duljo Fatima in Cebu.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the authorities caught suspected drugs worth P6.8 million during the buy-bust operation in Cebu. Two men were also arrested.
According to the report, both men were subjects of the buy-bust operation and both are also included in the watch list of the authorities.
Furthermore, the authorities also found out that one of the suspects has a contact inside the city jail in Cebu wherein one inmate is allegedly running the trade inside.
The other suspect also claimed that their operation even allegedly reaches Dumaguete in Negros Oriental. He did not name the source of the drugs confiscated from them.
Based on the report, the revelations of the suspects made the authorities believe that they are not small-time people with regards to the trade.
