“She didn’t have to say thank you,” Martin Nievera on Pops Fernandez
MARTIN NIEVERA – Concert King Martin Nievera clarified that Pops Fernandez did not have to thank him over her upcoming international project.
Recently, news reports about Pops Fernandez being chosen to represent the Philippines in the upcoming American talent-search show The World’s Best broke out.
Lots of people are happy about it including Pops’ ex-husband, Concert King Martin Nievera. He shared that he went for an audition to the show but his schedule won’t really fit the tapings as he has upcoming concerts.
When asked about his recommendation, Martin named Pops for The World’s Best. According to him, he was told that she was actually part of the list of choices. The schedule of the Philippines’ Concert Queen was arranged to fit to the American talent-show tapings.
Martin Nievera then made the revelation that he lost Pops Fernandez and their two sons, Robin and Ram Nievera, because he was so hungry for international fame before.
According to him, now that the opportunity is here, he gave it to the person he lost when was so fixated about international fame.
Meanwhile, Martin Nievera clarified that Pops Fernandez did not have to thank him for the international stint. Based on a report on Pep, the Concert King stressed that they are both part of the “masterlist”.
“In fact, I told her, I didn’t want to make a big deal that me getting the gig first because I don’t want people to think that she’s the second choice,” he expressed.
Based on the report, Martin Nievera clarified that Pops Fernandez is also part of the finalist to be chosen for the international project and it was just him who was not able to take it due to conflicting schedules.
