Robin Padilla Defends “Bato” Movie Against Critics Saying it’s Political Agenda
ROBIN PADILLA – Kapamilya actor Robin Padilla defended his action movie against critics who said it’s political agenda.
Veteran actor Robin Padilla is one of the famous action stars in Philippine movies. He is called the “Bad Boy” of the country.
The actor father Roy Padilla Sr. was a film director while his mother Lolita Eva Cariño was an actress. He has three siblings namely Royette Padilla, Rommel Padilla, and Rustom Padilla.
All of Robin Padilla’s sibling were actors. In fact, they have a lot of relatives in the entertainment business like Zsa Zsa Padilla, Karylle and Daniel Padilla.
Meanwhile, the prominent actor is currently promoting his comeback action movie titled “Bato The Movie.”
The film tells the life story of the retired Police Chief Ronald Dela Rosa. Robin’s leading lady in the movie is the Kadenang Ginto actress Beauty Gonzales.
During the press conference of Bato The Movie, Robin Padilla gave a statement regarding the controversy that the film as to promote Dela Rosa’s campaign.
“Sana huwag tayo ma-involve sa kontrobersiya ng politika kasi nakakalungkot yun kung mapagbibintangan niyo kami na gumagawa kami ng propaganda”
According to the report, Robin Padilla stated that he felt sad to her such interpretation, he said they were not doing any propaganda. People should also consider that the movie gave them jobs and to other people helping the movie.
“Sana yung mga ganung klaseng bintangan, ganung klaseng pukulan, isantabi muna natin. Isipin na lang natin nagkaroon kami ng trabaho, nakapagbigay kami ng trabaho sa mga stuntman, sa mga utility, maraming tao ang nagkaroon ng trabaho dito,” he added.
Based on the report, Robin Padilla doesn’t want to hear that the people were accusing him that he was supporting anyone’s political agenda.
“Huwag niyo akong buwisitin. Huwag niyo na ako asarin dahil hindi niyo ako kalaban. Ako artista lang, nagtratrabaho lang ako,” he said.
