Administrative Charges To Be Filed Vs. 5 Northern Luzon Mayors
NORTHERN LUZON MAYORS – Five(5) mayors from Northern Luzon will reportedly face administrative charges.
Most especially when calamities hit a place, the government officials are expected to double their efforts in serving and helping their constituents. It is the time when aid is needed most by many people.
However, an incident in 2018 seems to show the opposite and several public officials will be facing charges.
Based on a recent social media post on the Twitter account of People’s Television, five mayors from the north part of Luzon were allegedly “missing in action” when Typhoon Ompong hit in September 2018.
Typhoon Ompong is one of the strongest typhoons that have hit the Philippines last year. It has left several homes damaged and there were also loss of lives.
Based on the post, it was the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) that confirmed that administrative charges will be filed against five(5) mayors from Northern Luzon.
