DOH Requests Public To Stop Sharing Razorback Drummer Brian Velasco’s Video
RAZORBACK DRUMMER BRIAN VELASCO – The Department of Health (DOH) requests the public to stop the sharing of the video of the late drummer Brian Velasco.
The family and friends of the late drummer Brian Velasco are currently mourning over his unexpected death. On January 16 (Wednesday), the drummer of Razorback jumped from a condo unit in Manila.
Velasco is one of the longtime members of the 90s hard rock band Razorback. The other members include Tirso Ripoll, Manuel Legarda, and Louie Talan.
Among the hit songs of the Pinoy rock band were Ayon sa Kanya, Atin-atin Lang, and Daan-daang Dahilan. The band members were left with broken hearts by the sudden passing of their “brother”.
Before Razorback drummer Brian Velasco jumped off a condo building in Manila, he bid goodbye to his friends through a group chat on social media.
Aside from saying goodbye to his friends, the late drummer also went on a Facebook live video. He was crying and he kept on saying that he will go. He took a sip from his cup of drink and suddenly jumped off the building after a little while.
The video of Brian Velasco circulated on social media. Other copies were taken down but some netizens were able to have a copy of the video of the drummer.
Recently, the Department of Health reacted to the video of Razorback drummer Brian Velasco circulating on social media.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN, in a statement, the DOH requested the public to stop the sharing of the video of Velasco in respect for the family of the late drummer.
The Department also expressed its condolences to the family of the late drummer.
Based on the report, the DOH expressed that talking about depression is really needed now “to end the stigma surrounding the mental health”. According to the health department, it can lead to loss of lives when left unattended.
