House of Representative To Make New Parents, Graduates To Plant Trees
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE – Proposed bill of the House of Representative required new parents and graduates to plant trees.
Tree planting is very relevant to be taught in every school most importantly to the kids who are in elementary. The purpose of this activity is to add forestry, landscape, and reclamation for the land.
There are a lot of trees that were cut down not only in the Philippines but also to some other nations. So, it is very important to save the mother earth for our future children.

Meanwhile, the House of the Representatives in the country proposed a bill that mandates the new parents and the graduating students to plant trees.
It is a very good action from the government regarding the conservation of Mother Nature.

Based on the report from Manila Bulletin, the House Bill No. 8728 or the Graduation Legacy for the Environment Act” passed on its third and final reading last Monday. The author of this HB were Representatives Carmen Zamora and Noel Villanueva.

The HB states that new parents are required to plant two trees for them to secure the release of their newborn child’s birth certificate.
While the graduating students from elementary, high school and college are also mandated to plant ten trees.

According to the report, the aim of the HB is to promote poverty reduction, food security, environment protection, climate change,
Noel Villanueva stated that he aimed for the Filipino people to evolve into a more balanced and achieve a better environment.

Based on the report, the trees should be planted on these areas:
Forest Lands
Mangrove and Protected Areas
Ancestral Domains
Civil and Military Reservations,
Urban Areas Under the Greening Plan of the Local Government Units
Inactive and Abandoned Mine Sites
Suitable Lands
On the proposed act, it says that the seeds should be planted to their appropriate location.
