The world record attempt has a title of “Tree Revolution: Greening MindaNOW.” This will not just serve as a world record attempt but also to nurture the water program of the country to plant more trees. They are aiming to cover 690, 815 hectares of land by 2020.

Perhaps, its a double purpose thing. Through this, the opportunity to be a part of reforesting Mindanao will also be possible.

If this attempts succeeds, this would be the 2nd time of the country to take the Guinness World Record for planting trees.

This said attempt was organized by the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDa) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). They are also partnered by the Department of Agriculture (DA) and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The first was achieved in 2011 in Camarines Sur who have broken  down the record from India planting 64, 096 tress in 32 hectare area.

Will it be broken again this time by the same country? Well, we still need to wait and pray for it to happen.

Indeed, Filipinos are really making their country so proud of them.
