Miss Universe Philippines Franchise Now With Chavit Singson

Chavit Singson confirmed that he already acquired the Miss Universe Philippines franchise.

MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES FRANCHISE – The former Ilocos Sur governor Luis “Chavit” Singson said that the Miss Universe PH franchise is already with him.

The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc (BPCI) running the pageant Binibining Pilipinas had the Miss Universe franchise since 1964 and under them, 4 Pinays already bagged the crown for the country.

In a previous article, the BCPI chair Stella Marquez Araneta refuted rumors that the franchise was already with Chavit Singson as she responded, “It’s still with us. If some people are saying something else, let them talk about it.”

However as per a report from Rappler, Chavit Singson indicated that the Miss Universe PH franchise is “already with him” and will just be accordingly formally announced this January or February when Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray comes back to the country.

He said, “True, the franchise is already with me, but it has not yet been announced. I think it shall be formally announced this January or February, when Catriona comes back again to the Philippines.”

Furthermore, he has added that instead of the “Binibining Pilipinas Universe” it will now be “Miss Universe Philippines” as he stated, “Binibining Pilipinas Universe will be replaced with ‘Miss Universe Philippines.’ Noon pa binibigay sa akin ‘yan (I’ve been offered the franchise even before), because I’ve been helping them since 2016.”

Here are some reactions over the confirmation about the franchise of the most prestigious pageant based on an entertainment website:

Congrats po. Curious lang ako, ano kaya perks ng pagkakuha nya sa franchise?

Hala Miss International na lang ang naiwan na prestigious sa Bb. Pilipinas.

Miss Universe – Philippines lang ang franchise nya, hindi Miss Universe.

What can you say about this?
