Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray shared her first photo in New York as the newly crowned queen.
Last December 17, 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand, the world of pageant witnessed the crowning of the new Miss Universe.
Filipino pageant fans, as well as those who are not so fond of pageants, felt proud for the honor that Catriona brought to the country.
Days after the pageant, the Bicolana beauty went back to the country for a short visit. She had to attend a charity event as part of her duty as the reigning Miss Universe.
After that, she rested for a while during the holiday season. She spent quality time with her loved ones.
As 2019 entered, Catriona Gray also has to fulfill her duties and responsibilities.
She flew to New York and she was happy to start her work as Miss Universe 2018 as she brings the name of the Philippines with her.
Just like what seemed to be a tradition in previous reigning Miss Universe, Catriona also shared her first photo in New York on her Instagram account.
In the photo, the Filipina beauty queen was sipping a hot beverage from a big mug with “I (Heart) NY”.
“Dropped by the @missuniverse headquarters today ✨ super jetlagged but giant cups of tea and coffee are getting me through! 😴☕🗽
In a denim skirt hand-embellished with mother of pearl by the Tagakaolo tribe,” Catriona’s caption read.
