Chokoleit overpowered Vice Ganda in past audition
Comedian-host Vice Ganda admitted that once in his life fellow comedian Chokoleit defeated him in a past audition.
Vice is now one of the most popular TV and movie personalities in the Philippines.
He started as a stand-up comedian in sing-along bars. Through his talent and perseverance, Vice made his star shines brighter.
Just like many showbiz personalities, the It’s Showtime host also went through auditions.
During the recent episode of the Kapamilya noontime show, he shared the story of one of his audition stints.
Vice said that he auditioned for the role of Didi in the 2006 MMFF entry of Regal Entertainment Inc. titled Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah.
It was the film that featured Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla and Rustom Padilla who is now known as BB Gandanghari.
According to Vice, he was one of the many stand-up comedians who aspired to have a part in the said movie.
Unfortunately, the role did not land on his hand. Luckily for his fellow comedian Chokoleit, he got the part.
Looking back to that incident, Vice Ganda realized a very important thing, according to the report from Philippine Entertainment Portal.
He realized why he did not get the said part. It is because there were bigger things in store for him.
He was able to have lead roles in several movies and he has been a part of MMFF since 2012.
Based on the report, Vice Ganda‘s movies that became official entries in the film festival are Sisterakas (2012), Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy (2013), The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin (2014), Beauty and the Bestie (2015), and Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad (2017) and Fantastica (2018)
