Mayor Carlwyn Baldo, the Alleged Mastermind in Batocabe Case, Surrenders Firearms
BATOCABE – Daraga Mayor Carlwyn Baldo, the alleged mastermind in the death case of AKO Bicol Partylist Representative Rodel Batocabe, surrendered his firearms to the authorities.
The investigation over the death of AKO Bicol Partylist Representative Rodel Batocabe is still on-going. The politician was shot in December 22, 2018 during the gift-giving in his hometown in Daraga.
The late AKO Bicol Partylist had with him his bodyguards when the incident happened and his men were also attacked. At least six people reportedly attacked them.
The family, relatives, friends, supporters, and constituents of AKO Bicol Partylist Rep. Rodel Batocabe want justice over his death. Recently, the Philippine National Police (PNP) revealed its findings on the case.

According to PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde, it appears that the Daraga Mayor hired seven(7) people in exchange of Php 5 million to do it.
The late AKO Bicol Partylist Representative is a mayoralty candidate for Daraga in the 2019 midterm elections. He will be challenging the position of Baldo who is seeking for re-election.

Speaking to ANC Headstart, the son of the late Partylist Representative, Justin Batocabe, has assured that they are not leaving the political arena despite what happened to the head of their family.
According to the second nominee of AKO-Bicol, their remaining in politics is to show that they are strong and are willing to give everything to the people.
With regards to the candidacy of his father, there is no definite say yet as to who will take it from their family. He assured that it is going to be taken by someone carrying their last name.

According to the police, another letter of confiscation of firearms has been sent to the Daraga Mayor.
Based on the report, he is facing double charges and administrative cases against him might also be filed at the Office of the Ombudsman.
