Malacañang Releases Year-end Report on Pres. Duterte Accomplishments 2018

DUTERTE ACCOMPLISHMENTS 2018 – Malacañang released the year-end report on the accomplishments of the administration of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in the year 2018.

Currently, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is near his third-year of serving as the President of the Philippines. It was during the national election 2016 when the former Mayor of Davao City was elected as President.

Pres. Duterte won a landslide victory. During the campaign period, he was vocal about how he hates drugs and corruption. Eradicating the two have become two of the main goals under his administration.

Every end of the year, Malacañang releases the list of accomplishments under the Duterte administration for the about-to-pass year. The Palace recently released the yearend report on the Duterte Accomplishments 2018.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, among those that were listed in the Duterte Accomplishments 2018 are the rehabilitation of Boracay, the return of the Balangiga Bells, and the signing of the Bangsamoro Organic Law.

Furthermore, under the Duterte admin, more than 400,000 Filipino workers were regularized in their work in line with the pursuit of ending the contract scheme in employment.

According to the report, here are the other achievements listed on the Duterte Accomplishments 2018 released by Malacañang:

  • 6.1% Gross Domestic Product growth in 3rd quarter
  • 3.3% total export increase
  • 31% Foreign Direct Investment increase
  • Philippines-Kuwait signing of memorandum in protection of the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs)
  • Launching of Overseas Filipino Bank
  • 8.32% Tourist Arrival increase
  • 6,392 small-scale irrigation project installation and construction
  • The signing of Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, the Philippine National Identification System Act, the Ease of Doing Business Act, the Universal Health Care Law, the Masustansyang Pagkain para sa Batang Pilipino Act, the Balik Scientist Law, the Philippine Mental Health Law, the Free Irrigation Act, and the Kalusugan at Nutrisyon ng Mag-Nanay Act
  • The completion of the following major infrastructure including the Caraycaray Bridge in Biliran, Davao River Bridge in Davao City, Davao Del Sur, Taguig Integrated Terminal Exchange, and Lisap Bridge in Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro
  • The groundbreaking for the construction of major projects such as the South East Metro Manila Express way Project, Panguil Bay Bridge, Philippine National Railways Manila-Clark Project Phase 1, Binondo-Intramuros Bridge and Estrella Pantaleon Bridge, and Phase 2, Pasig-Marikina River Channel Improvement Project
