Davao Region Hit by Earthquake with 7.2 Magnitude
EARTHQUAKE – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded a 7.2 magnitude quake in Davao Region today, December 29, 2018.
Most of the time, quakes hit with no prior signs. Recently, several places in and out of the Philippines were shaken by quakes of different magnitudes.
One of the latest quakes recorded by Phivolcs is the 2.4 magnitude quake in La Union. There were no expected damage or aftershock due to the said quake.
Recently, based on a report on DZMM Teleradyo, Phivolcs recorded another quake in PH. Today, December 29, 2018, Davao Region was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2.
According to Phivolcs, Intensity IV was felt in General Santos City, Intensity III in Kidapawan, and Intensity II in Surigao. Reportedly, Phivolcs said that a tsunami warning would be release due to the strong quake.
The Phivolcs has recently released a bulletin regarding the quake. The magnitude was downgraded to 7.1.
