Nueva Vizcaya Hit by 3.4 Magnitude Earthquake

EARTHQUAKE – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded that a 3.4 magnitude quake recently hit Nueva Vizcaya.

Most of the time, quakes come with no warnings that is why being aware on what to do in case it happens is really important. In the past weeks, it struck different places in and out of the country.

In the Philippines, five quakes have jolted Surigao del Sur on December 5-6. Four days after, South Ubian of Tawi-Tawi was hit by a 4.7 magnitude quake and a 3.5 magnitude quake jolted Davao Occidental on December 13. 

Meanwhile, fortunately, there were no reports of damage or injury caused by the quakes that previously hit parts of the Philippines.

Earthquake

Recently, another place in PH was jolted by an earthquake. The Phivolcs recorded that a 3.4 magnitude quake hit Nueva Vizcaya noontime today, December 17, 2018.

According to Phivolcs, the quake was located 16.50N, 121.02E – 002 km S 51° East of Ambaguio in Nueva Vizcaya. It has a depth of 003 kilometers and is tectonic in origin.

Based on the bulletin released by Phivolcs, no damage and aftershocks expected of the quake that recently hit Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya.
