Sen. Trillanes Flies To Europe After Posting Bail in Pasay Court Yesterday
TRILLANES – Philippine Senator Antonio Trillanes IV flew to Europe after posting a bail in a Pasay Court.
Recently, a warrant of arrest against Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV was released by a court in Davao City. The said arrest warrant is over the libel case filed by presidential son and former Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte.
Duterte filed complaints against the Senator following his previous accusations that the presidential son is allegedly committing corruption through ride-hailing companies.
Aside from former Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s husband, Attorney Manases Carpio, also filed complaints against the Senator. It’s over the same accusations.
For his release, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV posted bail yesterday in a court in Pasay City. Based on a report on ABS-CBN news, he posted a total of Php 96,000.00 for the four (4) counts of libel filed against him by presidential son Paolo Duterte.
Also recently, the application for hold departure order against the Senator was also recently withdrawn by a Pasay prosecutor. It was withdrawn due to a lack of witness.
According to the ABS-CBN report, a day after posting bail, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV flew to Europe. He boarded EVA airlines flight 262 and it is bound for the Netherlands passing Taipei.
The Senator was sent off by a lawyer who got a departure access pass at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1.
Based on the report, Sen. Trillanes left for Europe after posting bail for an official duty. He is also bound for Spain and the United Kingdom until January 12, 2019. On January 27, 2019, the Senator is set to leave for the United States.
