Through a DepEd Order, the Department Revealed the DepEd Last Day of Classes in 2019
DEPED LAST DAY OF CLASSES 2019 – The Department of Education revealed the last day of classes in public elementary and secondary schools through a DepEd Order.
Recently, an order from DepEd ignited the excitement of the students in public elementary and secondary schools. The Department moved the DepEd Christmas break from December 22, 2018 to December 15, 2018.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, citing the post of Kapamilya journalist Jasmin Romero on social media, the move of the DepEd is in line with its pursuit to give families more time to spend with each other this Christmas season.
In DepEd Order No. 049 series of 2018, the Department stressed that its “values the importance of spending quality time with the family”. It also believes that it is an opportunity for students to strengthen their emotional bond with their family.
Following the Christmas break, the students are expected to be back in their schools on January 2, 2018 according to the report. Through its order, the Department also announced the DepEd last day of classes in 2019.
Stressing that the DepEd last day of classes in 2019 remains “unchanged”, the last class day is on April 5, 2019. It will fall on a Friday.
For now, surely, lots of teachers and students are excited to finally have some quality bonding moments with their families.
It is no secret to the public that for the whole school year, they got lots of daily tasks to be done which limit their time with their loved ones. Projects, assignments, lessons, and school activities usually consume most of a teacher or student’s time.
