Xi Jinping Expresses His Heartfelt Thanks To President Duterte After Philippine Visit
XI JINPING – Following the recent visit to the Philippines of China President Xi Jinping, he expressed his heartfelt thanks to President Duterte.
Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the Philippines for two days to reopen the friendship between the two countries.
Jinping did the wreath-laying ceremony at the Jose Rizal in Luneta Park then met with President Duterte in the Malacañang Palace with his other officials.
The highlight of Xi Jinping’s visit to the country was the signing of deals between China and the Philippines.
Based on a report from Philstar, the Chinese Embassy released Jinping’s thank you letter for President Duterte after his visit.
He said he had a successful visit to the country and he extends his heartfelt gratitude for being treated with complete hospitality.
According to the report, Jinping was grateful for the positive outcome of meetings along with former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Senator Vicente Sotto III, and President Duterte.
“We had in-depth exchange of views, reached important agreement on our bilateral relations and issues of shared interest…I am truly pleased with the fruitful outcomes of this visit,” Xi wrote.
Xi Jinping also stated that he was impressed with Duterte’s openness and firmness to consider having a good relation with China after 13 years.
“China and the Philippines are partners in a common journey toward peace and development,” Jinping wrote.
Based on the report, Xi Jinping promised to collaborate with Duterte to intensify the friendship between the two countries. He wishes for the country’s success, happiness, and his good health.
“I will work with you to strengthen political mutual trust and deepen practical cooperation…may China-Philippines friendship grow ever stronger,” he wrote.
