LPA’s Trough To Affect PH Weather Condition, PAGASA Says
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the LPA’s trough was expected to affect the weather condition over some parts of the Philippines.
On Tuesday (November 13, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather update in the country.
PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area they are monitoring was last spotted at 235 kilometers east-southeast of Davao City, Davao del Sur.
The low-pressure area was also expected to intensify into a tropical depression after crossing the Sulu Sea later this week.
The weather disturbance was expected to hit the land of Mindanao but leaving Luzon with generally fair weather condition except for isolated rains.
Meanwhile, the trough of the low-pressure area would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorm over Palawan, the Visayas, and over the whole of Mindanao.
The LPA will be locally named “Samuel” if it intensifies into a storm and becomes the 19th tropical cyclone to hit the Philippines this year.
The surrounding sea conditions over the seaboards of northern Luzon would be from moderate to rough while the rest of the country would experience slight to moderate coastal waters.
