In Response, Mar Roxas Thanks Duterte For Vouching To Vote For Him
MAR ROXAS – After President Duterte said the people to vote for former Intertior Secretary Mar Roxas, Mar thanked him for the endorsement.
Following up in the previous article, in an event in Boracay, Duterte told the people to vote for Roxas after a volatile altercation which began in 2015. That time, Duterte said he want to slap Roxas for the government’s slow response to Typhoon Yolanda. In retaliation, Mar said he will slap Duterte back, which then escalated.
He mentioned Roxas while lambasting former Philippine National Police (PNP) deputy director general Marcelo Garbo, Jr. Duterte accused Garbo, who is Roxas’ former aide, for handling drugs in Visayas.
Recently, in response, Mar thanked Duterte for the endorsment in the upcooming senatorial election. News5 AKSYON posted his statement on Twitter.

In addition, Mar said that he will run not because its Round 2, but because he wants to solve the problems the Filipinos are currently facing. Mar further said that he wants to go back to public service so he can help with the progression of the Philippines.
Here are what the netizens have to say to his statement:
With the way you handled things in ALL offices you headed, you could NEVER BE OF HELP, Mr Roxas… Just stay out of the government… WE WILL NEVER VOTE FOR YOU!

Ang media, magtatatlong taon na si Duterte, di pa rin alam paano basahin ang mensahe ng Pangulo. Ang dali nyong mauto.

That was supposed to be a sarcastic endorsement. Media’s gullibility is at an all time high.
