“It was really me who decided. Tsaka if you know me like my husband knows who I am, you know na gagawin ko kung ano ang gusto ko,” she said in a statement over the issue that it was her husband Ogie Alcasid who allegedly pushed her to transfer network.

The saddened Kapuso actress Marian Rivera said, “Ang importante diyan, kung saan siya mahalaga, kung saan siya magiging masaya doon siya.” However, with all the negative comments the Songbird have received, fellow singers’ reaction condemned all of it defending her.
And now, just recently, Asia’s songbird has posted an open letter she dedicated to her bashers who never liked her decision to transfer to the Kapamilya network. She has expressed, “Lumipat lang po ako ng network hindi ako pumatay ng tao. Again I’m grateful for my 20 years in GMA I made a lot of friends there and [I] have great memories being a [Kapuso].”

Thus, a close friend to her and also an internationally renowned singer and Broadway Diva, Lea Salonga, has reacted to it telling Velasquez that she doesn’t have to explain herself and her decision for the bashers do not know a thing about her.
