Typhoon Rosita Enters PAR Moving Towards Northern Luzon, PAGASA Says

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Typhoon Rosita with an international name “Yutu” enters PAR and now moving towards Northern Luzon.

On Saturday (October 27, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest updates regarding Typhoon Yutu.

PAGASA announced that Typhoon Yutu entered the eastern boundary of Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and given a local name “Rosita”.

Rosita has 185 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 225 kph moving 20 kph at westwards.

The weather disturbance is now moving towards northern Luzon with Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals is yet to be raised by Sunday night (October 27. 2018).

The northeast monsoon was also expected to bring cloudy weather condition with light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

Ilocos and Cordillera Regions, and the rest of Cagayan Valley Region would experience cloudy conditions with isolated light rain due to the northeast monsoon.

Cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms were expected over the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Luzon and Visayas would be moderate to occasionally rough.

Mindanao would have light to moderate surrounding sea conditions.

The weather agency also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides.
