The mom of singer-actress Rachel Alejandro proudly showcased her cooking expertise.
Rachel and her sister Barni Alejandro are in food business for quite a long time now. Their tandem advocates healthy eating and they pioneered the diet delivery service Sexy Chef.
Their mother, Myrna Demauro joined in the food business just in 2010. Rachel’s mom considers herself a late bloomer when it comes to this industry.
Myrna spent several years in Europe and Asia before she put up the Chef Mom’s D Lite catering company.
They cater both corporate and private clients over the years. Rachel Alejandro’s mom is proud to say that they provide delicious but yet affordable menus.
The proof of costumers’ satisfaction is her 8 years in the business. After that span of time, Myrna decided to try something new.

She is expanding her range as she opened a homey canteen in Quezon City, based on the article published in ABS-CBN.
“We’re canteen concessionaires as well as caterers, but this is the first time that we’re doing something like this. We have a building commissary at the back, which is four levels. So we thought of providing food to the office employees nearby,” Myrna Demauro said.
Rachel Alejandro also said that one thing advantageous on the area is that it is very accessible to people working in corporate offices nearby.
Indeed, their food prices starting at P65 for viand could really attract customers.

Though she admits that inflation has also affected them, the mother of Rachel Alejandro said that they will not compromise the quality of their food.
“We still have sili here! Pero noong nagkakahirapan talaga, ang sabi na lang namin, magbibigay na lang kami pag may humingi. Otherwise, quiet na lang kami,” Myrna quipped.
