Willie Revillame’s Wowowin Contestant Almost Greeted the Audience “Madlang Pipol”
Wowowin contestant almost greeted Willie Revillame’s audience “Madlang Pipol” which is an original greeting trademark from a rival network.
The variety gameshow Wowowin is hosted by Willie Revillame. The show is aired by the Kapuso network since May 10, 2015.
Willie is known for giving a generous amount of money to ordinary Filipinos who participates in the program.
He is currently co-hosted by pretty girls like Sugar Mercado, Lyca Makino, and Kayeann “Marikit” Picache among others.
Wowowin also showcases local Filipino talents and Willie made them perform in front of the audience and televisions nationwide.
The gameshow has a segment titled “Willie of Fortune” where Willie interviews his contestants and lets them share some stories of their lives.
Meanwhile, a Youtube video was uploaded where a contestant named “Jen” slipped her tongue and almost called the Wowowin’s audiences “Madlang Pipol”
The noontime show of the rival network, “It’s Showtime“, is known for using that greeting towards the people watching the show.
On the video, Jen greeted her friends and then said she’s wearing quite heavy false eyelashes just for Willie.
The host asked her if she has a boyfriend. The contestant then replied that she already has a husband he’s working at the moment as a dishwasher.
Jen also told Willie that she sings for occasions like weddings, birthdays and also funerals.
When Willie Revillame asked her to introduce her companion in coming for the show, she said “Ayan! Madlang…(pause) eto po ah.”.
The contestant paused and noticed she spilled the trademark greetings of the other network.
“Madlang?…sa showtime yun!” Willie remarked.
Jen then waved her hands and said she’s not done yet.
Despite awkwardness she has done, they altogether ended up laughing anyway.
The Wowowin acknowledged that she’s been talking a lot that’s why she ends up saying things that shouldn’t be done for their show.
However, the contestant redeemed herself by saying:
“Ganito po kasi yan, pinapasaya ko lang kayo,” she said.
On the last part of the video, Willie said it’s okay because one of the It’s Showtime host, Vice Ganda, even said his name and their “Bigyan ng jacket” term is also frequently heard on their show.
