Grace Poe Files Certificate of Candidacy at COMELEC’s Manila Office
GRACE POE – Philippine Senator Grace Poe filed her Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for the upcoming 2019 mid-term elections.
Recently, incumbent politicians and people who are aspiring to be part of the government have filed their certificate of candidacies at the different Commission on Election (COMELEC) offices.
One of them is Sen. Grace Poe, the daughter of Ang Probinsyano actress Susan Roces and the late Fernando “Da King” Poe Jr.
In 2016, Sen. Poe took a presidential bid. The other candidates for the presidency were the following:
- Former Vice President Jejomar Binay
- Former Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas
- Late Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago
- Former Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte
Poe and three others lost to Pres. Duterte who gained the majority of the people’s votes. Undeniably, the fans and supporters of the lady senator continue to express her support to her in case she will take another presidential bid.
Next year, a mid-term election is set to be held. Based on a series of social media posts of ABS-CBN News Channel, Sen. Grace Poe is among those who filed their candidacy.

The lady senator was accompanied by her veteran actress mom to the COMELEC. Based on one of the Tweets, she will be running as an independent candidate in the upcoming election.
