It is not thing to wonder anymore that celebrities crossed over to the world of politics. There were already several prominent showbiz personalities who occupied positions in the government.
Here are some of celebrities who filed their COC on October 11:
Earlier, it was reported that Filipino music icon Freddie Aguilar aims to be a Senator under PDP-Laban.
Actor Roderick Paulate seeks to be elected as the Vice Mayor of Quezon City. Previously, he was elected as a Councilor. This is despite of the graft and falsification accusations against him.
He was accused of having ghost employees included in the payroll under his office.

Actor Gian Sotto, the son of Senate President Tito Sotto, also filed his COC on the first day of filing. He will run as Vice Mayor of Quezon City.

Star for all Season Vilma Santos-Recto seeks re-election as a Batangas Representative. For several years now, the veteran actress has been a prominent personality in the provincial politics of Batangas.
Her husband Ralph Recto came with her during the filing of certificate of candidacy.

Well-known doctor and columnist Willie Ong, who is frequently seen on TV, also aims to be a Senator. He said that he wants to continue the legacy of former Department of Health Secretary Juan Flavier.

Other prominent personalities who are expected to file their COC are former PCOO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson, SAP Bong Go and Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
