GRETCHEN HO – The prominent female host Gretchen Ho reacted to the issue of Siling Labuyo price which already reached to as much as P1000 per kilo.

In a previous article, the SM Supermarket has released their statement regarding the viral photo of a pack of Taiwan Peppers with a tag price costing P1,029.60.

“The photo currently being circulated on social media regarding the price of pre-weighed Taiwan peppers is not accurate. Above please find the correct pricing for the product reflected in all our stores carrying it,” they have indicated in their statement.

Meanwhile, in a “Palengke” pricing, the Taiwan peppers are only P10 for every pack.

And recently, in a report from Inquirer, Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol urged consumers to plant to avoid paying the expensive amount of siling labuyo per kilo.

The market price already reached P1000 per kilo.

“Those who are complaining about the very high price of “Sili” or red chili which reportedly sells for P900 per kilo should know that in many parts of the country, including my home city of Kidapawan, the red sili is sold for only about P50 per kilo,” he said.

And recently, the famous female host Gretchen Ho has reacted to this.

On Twitter, the female host said, “One day. Yayaman din ako. Good night, world.” This along with a photo of a man having chili peppers as his accessories. The caption said, “How our yayamanin friend in 2018 looks like.”

Accordingly, the Philippine Statistics Authority stated that inflation in August is 6.4 percent which is due to the gradual rise of the price of food, alcoholic, and tobacco products.

As per an article from the Inquirer, vegetable prices reached 19.2 percent.
