Low-Pressure Area To Bring Rains Over Parts Of The Country, PAGASA Says
The state weather bureau PAGASA announced that a low-pressure area near PAR would bring rains over some parts of the country.
On Friday (August 31, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country.
The weather agency reported that a low-pressure area was spotted at 350 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
The LPA would bring moderate to heavy rain over Eastern Visayas including Biliran, Leyte, and the provinces of Samar.
Surigao del Norte, Dinagat, Bicol, and the rest of the Visayas would also experience light to heavy rain due to the weather disturbance.
PAGASA also warned the resident living in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides.
However, the rest of Luzon would not be affected by the low-pressure area but might experience localized thunderstorms.
The weather bureau is also monitoring Typhoon Jebi with maximum sustains winds of 205 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness 255 kph.
