Binibining Pilipinas and Miss Intercontinental 2017 1st runner-up Katarina Rodriguez joining this year’s Miss World PH pageant.

In a previous article, the official names of candidates for this year’s Miss World Philippines have been finally taken out. This pageant will determine the lucky woman suitable to compete for this year’s Miss World.

This competition will have three titles which only means, that out of 40 candidates, there will be three girls who will represent the country for three different international pageants.

One of the official candidates is Katarina Rodriguez whose face and name is already familiar and prominent in the field.

As such, the titles were Miss Multinational Philippines crown, Miss Eco-Philippines, and Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas.

Rodriguez is the 1st runner-up of the elusive pageant Miss Intercontinental 2017. The winner then was from the Netherlands.

“Yung winner, si Miss Netherlands at ako, lahat ng Top 5, magaling lahat kami, promise. Sa beginning of the pageant to the very end of the pageant, lahat kami deserving. Thank you again so much for all of the support. I love all of you guys and I can’t wait to be back home,” she even said as per a report.

Taking another shot in a pageant, Rodriguez has said when interviewed by Rappler during their break, “I’m more nervous I suppose this time. Because I have expectations and I just went through na sobrang bago pa (that are so fresh). So it’s more of the mental preparation of like here you go again. Because in order to do a pageant, you’ll need a lot of endurance and stamina.”

Before her life in pageantries, she is formerly one of the runners-up in  Asia’s Next Top Model season 2.

Miss World Philippines will be held on October 7 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
