Weather Bureau PAGASA Issues Rainfall Warning & Latest Weather Update On August 13, 2018 (Monday)
The state weather bureau PAGASA has released the latest weather update in the country and issued a yellow rainfall warning in the following areas.
On Monday (August 13, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country.
The weather agency reported that at least five (5) weather systems are spotted around the country.
The weather systems also enhance the southwest monsoon or locally known as “Habagat” causing rains over most parts of Luzon.
Another low-pressure area was also spotted within the Philippines Area of Responsibility (LPA) that would affect the country’s weather condition.
The LPA enhances the southwest monsoon that would bring scattered to widespread rains over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Oriental Mindoro, and Occidental Mindoro.
PAGASA also raised a yellow rainfall warning over Zambales and Bataan as of 12 pm on Monday.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila (Northern Caloocan), Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Tarlac would experience light to moderation with occasionally heavy rains.
The residents living in low-lying and mountainous areas were advised to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides.
