Senator Antonio Trillanes Plans To File Plunder Charges Against Tulfo Brothers & Wanda Teo
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV plans to file plunder charges against Wanda Teo, Ben and Erwin Tulfo for refusing to return the P60 million from tourism ads.
On Monday (July 30, 2018), Trillanes said that he was planning the file plunder charges against Tulfo brothers and former Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo over P60 million deal with the Department of Tourism (DOT).
“I intend to file a plunder case against the Tulfo siblings in relation to the P60-M DOT ad controversy,” Trillanes said.
The lawmaker’s announcement came after Ben Tulfo refused to return the P60 million and claimed that the transaction was legal.
“Sa mga nagsasabing isauli ang pera at hinihintay daw ang P60 million, mamuti na mga mata niyo! Wala kaming isasauli! Sa mga nagsasabing ilegal at nangulimbat kami, eh di sampahan niyo kami ng kaso, tutal nandiyan naman ang COA (Commission on Audit) at Ombudsman!” Ben Tulfo wrote on his Facebook post.
Trillanes also called the attention of Senate Blue Ribbon Committee to start the investigation regarding the issue.
Wanda Teo leaves her post after the controversial P60 million advertisement deals have been the headlines of local news outlets a few months ago.
