Student’s Alleged Unexpected Experience With Female Jeepney Conductor Goes Viral

Student Claims Female Conductor Refused To Give Her Fare Discount on Saturday?

STUDENT – A student netizen shared her alleged unexpected experience with a female jeepney conductor.

Undeniably, there are schools and universities who are holding cl(–foul word(s) removed–) or activities on Saturdays and some students have to go back to school. The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has previously expanded the fare discounts for students.

Even during holidays and weekends, students are now entitled to a fare discount. However, it seems that not all jeepney drivers or conductors are aware of it.

Based on a recent social media post of student netizen ‘Joanne G. Turalde’, the female conductor of the jeepney she rode in allegedly refused to give her a discount at first.

In her post, the student stated that she allegedly reasoned out to the conductor that students are entitled to fare discounts even during holidays. However, according to her, the conductor was insisting that there is no discount.

Furthermore, in her post, the netizen stated that the conductor allegedly told her that she will just stay away from school without good reason. The woman allegedly gave her P30 instead of P32 as her change.

The student allegedly insisted to the woman that she did not give her the correct change and the conductor gave how much is lacking to her change. However, according to her, it did not end to that as the woman asked her to leave the jeepney.

Based on her post, some passengers started to react to the scenario and defended the student. They also asked her not to get off from the jeepney. The incident allegedly led to the point that the conductor took a photo of the girl so she did the same.

However, according to the student, the female conductor grabbed her mobile phone and threw it away. Here is the full post of the netizen:
