President Duterte has finally issued an apology over his distasteful remarks on religious beliefs saying “God, I’m Sorry”.

Over the past few weeks, President Rodrigo Duterte has been the headlines of several local news outlets and countless social media pages over his “stupid God” remarks and questioning the story of creation.

Mr. Duterte has already launched a series of tirades against the Catholic Church and other religious groups, which caused a nationwide uproar.

On Tuesday evening (July 10, 2018), the president has apologized for his rant about God during his meeting with evangelist  Bro. Eddie Villanueva at the Malago Golf Club in Malacañang.

The apology came after Bro. Villanueva asked Mr. Duterte to apologize for his distasteful remarks against God.

“If it’s the same God, I’m sorry, that’s how it is. Sorry, God. I said sorry God. If God is taken in a generic term by everybody listening then that’s well and good,” Duterte said quoted by Inquirer.

However, his critics are still throwing criticisms and said that he should never use the name of God to attack the government.
