However, according to DailyMail, Melbourne United were quick to discredit the tweet and confirmed it was fake.
They said, “On Tuesday evening Melbourne United Basketball Club was made aware of speculation that Chris Goulding had allegedly made a derogatory statement via his Twitter account in relation to the recent incident in the Philippines”.
Even more, they added, “On behalf of Chris, who is currently on a flight home to Melbourne, the Club would like to categorically refute these claims”, implying that Goulding was unaware of the fake tweet.
Jacob Holmes, CEO of the Australian Basketballers’ Association even said that Goulding did not even post of the sort.
The fake tweet sent out as a “screenshot” of @ChrisGoulding43 is an absolute disgrace & offensive. He would not, and did not post anything of this sort. We’re not going to give this any more air by showing a photo, safe to say it is a rubbish act & shouldn’t be given any traction

Despite all this, however, Netizens did not stop bashing the player.
