Mr. Duterte has ordered the temporary closure of the famous tourist’s spot to allow the government to restore the island’s natural beauty.
On April 26, 2018, the famous haven has been closed to the public for six-months and planned to reopen by October 26, 2018, after the rehabilitation process.
Recently, the Facebook page “The New Boracay” has uploaded a short video clip showing the new face of Boracay Island within two months of rehabilitation.
In the video, it can be seen how the popular tourists spot improved in just two months since the restoration process has been started.
