Proclamation No. 514 Declares June 15 As Regular Holiday
President Rodrigo Duterte has signed the Proclamation No.514 declaring June 15, 2018, as a regular holiday for Eid’l Fitr.
Malacañang Palace has declared June 15, 2018, as a regular holiday wherein cl(–foul word(s) removed–) and works in government sectors have been canceled to allow our Muslim countrymen to celebrate Eid’l Fitr.
The Department of Education (DepEd) also confirmed that there will be no cl(–foul word(s) removed–) nationwide on June 15 (Friday).
Education Undersecretary Annalyn Sevilla said that DepEd indicates that June 15 holiday was written in its Department Order (DO) No. 25 for the school year (SY) 2018-2019.
Filipino will mark the Muslim observance of Eid’l Fitr, which marks the end of the 30-day fasting period of Ramadan.
