JERON TENG – The Alaska rookie Jeron Teng and 2 of his former teammates from De La Salle University got wounded following brawl which led to a stabbing incident before dawn on Sunday, police said.
According to a report from ABS-CBN, Jeron Teng together with Rain or Shine’s Norbert Torres and former La Salle guard Thomas Torres were in Bonifacio Global City walking outside the Early Night Bar when the brawl happened.
They got into a confrontation with 2 suspects at around 2:30 a.m. of whom the two suspects were identified as 40-year-old Filipino-American Edmar Manalo Lacanlale and 37-year-old Willard Balisi.
The two suspects got arrested and were now in the custody of the authorities.
The initial investigations told that the three players were outside the bar when they were called out. They confronted the suspects which boiled down to a heated argument and eventually starting a brawl leading to a stabbing incident.
Norbert Torres was stabbed on his arm while Thomas Torres and Teng were both stabbed in their bodies. They are currently in a hospital for recovery.
The elder brother of Jeron, Jeric said that Jeron suffered a deep cut. He said as per the report, “He was very lucky dahil pwede matamaan ang vital organs pero buti wala. Pero ‘yun nga, lahat sila may mga deep cuts.”
And here are the videos which showed the brawl leading to the said unfortunate incident:
On the video, it can be heard that one of the suspects shouted at Teng, “You don’t f***ing know me. Who are you?”
Teng then flashed a middle finger which probably provoked the suspects to attack the Alaska Aces rookie.
