StarStruck Graduates Who Became More Popular As Kapamilya Artist

Here are some of the StarStruck graduates who are currently in the Kapamilya network.

STARSTRUCK GRADUATES – Here are some of the graduates from GMA’s StarStruck who made a huge career move as they transferred to its rival network ABS-CBN.

StarStruck is a reality-based talent show broadcast by GMA Network which premiered on October 27, 2003, and has aired over six seasons and the 7th season is slated to be in 2018.

Through a series of nationwide auditions, this programs aims to search and discover new actors and actresses.

And the lucky survivors here, however, after winning the competition and some contestants have made a huge move in their career as they decided to switch networks.

Nonetheless, some of those who transferred have become more popular and here are some of them:

ALJUR ABRENICA

He is “The Ultimate Hunk” which is a counterpart of the Ultimate Male Survivor tag. After his victories, he had been given several leading man roles.

But in 2014, he filed a termination of his contract with the GMA as his career plans are not aligned with the plans of the network for him. And in 2017, he officially signed a contract making him now a Kapamilya artist.

PAULO AVELINO

He initially played the “third wheel” roles until the leading man roles have been given to him. He was offered then a role but turned it down and accepted the challenging role offered to him by ABS-CBN in 2012.

Paulo became famous for the role he played as “Nathan” in ‘Walang Hanggan’ as his first project in Kapamilya network as he worked along with Coco Martin and Julia Montes.

ARCI MUNOZ

She is known for her antagonistic roles but transferred network in 2011 to TV5.

Arci moved to ABS-CBN in 2015 where her first project is a leading role in the Filipino remake of the Mexican drama Pasion de Amor. She became more popular with her film ‘Always Be My Maybe’ with Gerald Anderson in 2016.

CRISTINE REYES

Cristine became an official Kapamilya in 2008 where she offered the lead role in its TV adaptation of the classic sexy movie Eva Fonda.

SARAH LAHBATI

She had issues back then with her previous network until, in 2017, she officially signed a contract in the ABS-CBN.
