RELATIONSHIP GOALS – The viral old couple who is still working hard despite their old age crosses social media platform and tells how to achieve that “relationship goals”.
To loved and be loved in return by someone you have longed to have might be hard but staying in love is what makes it a bit tougher.
Consistency had been one of the factors why fondness of one to his or her partner fades away. But here enters how far their love can go because if love is true, it will survive including those times where one might felt that love is gone or maybe the spark has run out.
But for 50 years, this viral old couple stood through the test of time and proved that lasting relationship is achievable. A relationship that would last is the real goal, right?
Rene, 82, is a jeepney driver along the stretch of Lopez Avenue in Los Baños, Laguna, going to the UPLB campus and with him is his wife Aida, 76, who is in charge of giving change to the passengers.
“Ako naman ay naaawa na siya lang ang namamasada. Biruin mo naman, ako ay nasa bahay, tapos siya ay nag-gaganyan doon…. Eh hindi ako papayag. Paano kapag may mangyari sa kanya habang namamasada?” Aida said.
They are still helping their 4 grandchildren of whom 2 are in college. The reason why they both work hard to give them an allowance and for their daily expenses.
Indeed, staying together is the real goal in every relationship. It is not traveling together or visiting newly opened restaurants.
It is being together until the old days and sticking with each other amid those hard times.
