Earthquake Recently Hit Catanduanes

EARTHQUAKE – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) released the information regarding the earthquake that recently struck some parts of Catanduanes province.

Based on a recent report in Inquirer, the Phivolcs confirmed that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 struck some parts of the province of Catanduanes today – at 10:18 in the morning.

According to the report, the tectonic origin quake hit the eastern part of Baras in Catanduanes and it has a depth of 39 kilometers.

Intensity III was reportedly felt in Sorsogon City while Legazpi City felt Intensity II. Based on the report, Phivolcs said that no damage and as well as aftershocks are expected to follow the quake.
