Enchong Dee laments over Issa Rae’s statement.
ENCHONG DEE – The Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee reacted to the alleged suggestion of Issa Rae on her book to educated black women to date Asian men but not Filipinos.
Enchong Dee has reacted to an excerpt on the 3-year-old book of Issa Rae.
Issa Rae is an American actress, writer, director, producer, and web series creator.
Check out the reaction of the actor to the American’s statement below:
According to a report from Newsweek, Issa Rae called the Filipinos “The Blacks of Asians”.
Rae suggested in her book, “This is why I propose that black women and Asian men join forces in love, marriage, and procreation. Educated black women what better intellectual match for you than an Asian man? And I’m not talking about Filipino’s, they’re like the Blacks of Asians. I’m talking Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, et cetera.”
She further added, “So black women, after college, maybe it’s a good idea to settle in Los Angeles or anywhere else where Koreatown is a hotspot.”
This has then ignited a backlash from the people especially from the Filipinos and even accused her to be a “racist”.
One comment from the report indicated, “All I can say is she’s using Filipinos to make a stir in social media and make her trash work famous. Good or Bad Publicity is still Publicity.”
Another comment stated, “This article caught my attention. After reading, I realized (as a Filipino guy) that I have wasted my time reading “her” non sense & narrow-minded statement. Lol”

And btw @IssaRae said some really f*cked stuff about Filipino men. and Filipinos, in general. While at the same being extremely Anti-Black, as well. If it was supposed to be ✌️ satire✌️it was very *poorly* executed ✌️satire✌️. https://t.co/KiuBtnFG2M

Y'all made this a black men vs. black women thing because of course, but if anybody should be mad at Issa Rae, it should be Filipino people.
